This long-awaited release brings one of the Frost Brothers' iconic machines to life with completely new tooling, updated proportions, modern articulation, and engineering that faithfully recreates the mobile suit's unique gimmicks and transformation features.

Developed using Bandai's latest High Grade technology, the Gundam Ashtaron features highly detailed armor, improved color separation, and advanced articulation throughout the body. The massive Atomic Scissors can deploy, store, and articulate without requiring part swapping, allowing builders to recreate the machine's signature close-combat attacks directly from the anime.

The kit also includes the Ashtaron's versatile Beam Spear, which can transform into a crossbow configuration, along with beam sabers, effect parts, and interchangeable hands. Through partial transformation, the model can also recreate its distinctive Mobile Armor Mode, one of the most memorable features of the original machine.

About Gundam Ashtaron

The NRX-0015 Gundam Ashtaron is one of the primary antagonist mobile suits from After War Gundam X. Piloted by Olba Frost, the younger of the Frost Brothers, the machine specializes in overwhelming close-range combat through its enormous Atomic Scissors while retaining surprising mobility through its transformable Mobile Armor configuration. Working alongside his brother Shagia's Gundam Virsago, Olba uses the Ashtaron's unique capabilities to execute coordinated attacks throughout the series.

Atomic Scissors Gimmick

The defining feature of the Gundam Ashtaron is its pair of massive Atomic Scissors mounted on the backpack. Bandai's new HG engineering allows the claws to deploy, articulate, and fold away without requiring any part swapping. Multiple joints within the mechanism enable dynamic attack poses while maintaining stability and accuracy to the original design.

Mobile Armor Transformation

The kit can recreate the Ashtaron's high-speed Mobile Armor Mode through a partial transformation system. This mode highlights the machine's role as a fast-moving assault unit and allows collectors to display the model in either its Mobile Suit or Mobile Armor configuration.
